Robot.com Unveils R-noid Humanoid to Solve Labor Shortages

With turnover rates in hospitality and logistics reaching critical levels, San Francisco-based Robot.com has entered the humanoid market with R-noid. Designed for repetitive, high-burnout roles, the platform offers a Robot-as-a-Service model that promises to move from initial site assessment to full autonomy in under twelve weeks.

The R-noid platform launches with 19 specific tasks across five categories, including packing, picking, and restaurant assistance. Rather than requiring extensive facility retrofits, the robots use a holonomic mobile base and a 4-DOF articulated torso to navigate tight, human-centric spaces. The company emphasizes that its primary goal is to alleviate the physical monotony that contributes to high staff turnover, allowing human employees to focus on more complex tasks.

Powered by Physical Intelligence’s π0.7 model, the robot translates natural-language instructions into physical actions, enabling it to adapt to changing environments without needing custom engineering for every new job. The system also integrates FieldAI’s foundation models for autonomous navigation and safety. To ensure public comfort, Robot.com collaborated with Yukai Engineering on "R-soul," an expression system designed to communicate the robot’s intent and personality. The company will debut the unit at Automate 2026 in Chicago, joining a fleet that already includes over 500 operational units globally.
