CopperTech Metals Targets $3.5 Billion Valuation in NYSE Debut

A valuation exceeding $3.5 billion is within reach for CopperTech Metals as the copper and cobalt producer formally unveiled terms for its initial public offering. The London-based subsidiary of Vedanta Resources plans to list on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker CUX, signaling a major push into U.S. markets.

The company intends to offer 23.5 million shares at a price range between $16 and $18. At the $17 midpoint, CopperTech expects to generate $372 million in net proceeds, a figure that could climb to $429 million if underwriters exercise their option to purchase an additional 3.53 million shares.

Following the offering, parent company Vedanta Resources will retain firm control, holding more than 85% of the entity's voting power. With nearly 202.1 million shares outstanding—assuming full exercise of the overallotment—the company’s market capitalization would reach approximately $3.64 billion at the top end of the pricing range.
