The discovery follows the December 2025 launch of production at the South N’dola Platform and arrives amid broader regional momentum, including recent appraisal success at the Katambi-2 field. For Angola, where output has stabilized near 1.1 million barrels per day after dipping below the million-mark last year, the existing pipeline network remains a critical advantage over other frontier markets. Chevron continues to lean into this African strategy, with additional drilling campaigns scheduled across Nigeria and Namibia through 2026.
