The transaction concluded on October 5, 2026, following a public tender offer that saw shareholders tender over 87 million shares. Hermes, a major player in valuables management, brings an extensive network of 19 branches and a workforce of 3,400 employees to the Loomis group. The company provides critical services including cash processing, secure storage for precious minerals, and ATM management for financial and mining clients.

Loomis CEO Aritz Larrea noted that the existing management team and staff will remain in place as the business integrates into the firm's Europe and Latin America segment. Financing for the purchase was managed by Nordea Bank and Société Générale, with the debt structure ultimately settled through a 300 million euro bond issuance. The move signals a strategic push to bolster service capacity in the region while absorbing an established market leader.
