The Eclipse Sportback features a 75 kWh lithium-ion battery capable of delivering 282 miles of range on a single charge. Designed for broad compatibility, the vehicle supports SAE J1772 standards for Level 1 and 2 home or public charging, while integrating Tesla’s NACS format for Level 3 fast-charging. Buyers can opt for a single $2,600 Technology Package to supplement the base configuration.
This launch marks a significant shift for the Franklin, Tennessee-based automaker. The Momentum 2030 roadmap mandates the introduction of at least one new or refreshed vehicle annually through 2030. Following the Sportback, the company intends to debut a rugged off-road variant of the Outlander SUV in early 2027 and confirmed plans to re-enter the North American pickup truck market via a partnership with Nissan. To support this transition, Mitsubishi is backing the new model with a comprehensive warranty program, including 10-year/100,000-mile coverage for both the powertrain and the battery unit.
