Censys Taps Former Armis Executive Jeff Hackett as CFO

Jeff Hackett, a veteran of Armis and ServiceNow, is stepping into the Chief Financial Officer role at Censys. The appointment arrives as the Ann Arbor-based Internet intelligence firm navigates a period of rapid expansion, with its leadership betting on Hackett’s track record in scaling high-growth cybersecurity and SaaS enterprises.

Hackett joins the company following a half-year performance surge that saw the firm increase its million-dollar annual recurring revenue customers by 400 percent. CEO Zakir Durumeric noted that the hire aligns with the company’s push to solidify its position as a foundational data layer in a security landscape increasingly reshaped by automated, AI-driven threats.

Before this move, Hackett served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Finance at Armis, where he helped scale the business to over $340 million in annual recurring revenue. His tenure there concluded with the company’s $7.75 billion acquisition by ServiceNow, an organization where Hackett previously spent six years in senior finance roles. His resume also includes stints at Symantec and NXP Semiconductors, bringing over two decades of industry experience to his new post at Censys.
