The winning group, which includes Ferrovial’s Cintra division alongside Polish subsidiary Budimex, Strabag, and Invesis, emerged as the preferred bidder following a tender process initiated in July. This contract covers the design, financing, and construction of 35.4 kilometers of new roadway, along with the ongoing operation and maintenance of an additional 16.6 kilometers, creating a managed network of 52 kilometers.
Engineers will oversee the construction of two major tunnels designed to alleviate regional traffic congestion and improve national connectivity. Under the terms of the agreement, the consortium will manage the infrastructure for 28 years following the financial close of the deal.
