CorelDRAW 2026 Update Integrates Prompt-Based Vector Generation

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2026 has introduced a dedicated Text-to-vector AI workflow in its September update, allowing designers to transform written prompts into fully editable vector objects. The release marks a strategic shift toward using generative artificial intelligence as a practical tool for accelerating professional production cycles.

The new AI-powered feature, integrated directly into the AI Generate inspector, functions by converting descriptive text into scalable artwork. Designers can create graphics from scratch or use existing assets as a foundation for generating variations. By supporting styles such as line art, comic book, and icon, the software ensures that generated results align with specific project requirements. Crucially, the output remains fully editable, allowing users to manually adjust nodes and properties to finalize their designs within the familiar CorelDRAW environment.

Beyond generative capabilities, the September update delivers a significant overhaul to PowerTRACE. The bitmap-to-vector conversion tool now features a redesigned interface and improved color handling, with performance speeds reportedly up to four times faster. The addition of AI-powered background removal prior to tracing enables cleaner, more precise vectorization of low-resolution source materials like logos or scanned sketches.

CorelDRAW Web has also received substantial upgrades to bridge the gap between browser-based work and desktop production. Subscribers can now upload custom, brand, and system fonts, ensuring typographic consistency across platforms. The inclusion of DWG and DXF export formats further expands the suite's utility for fabrication and plotting workflows. These updates, coupled with broader performance enhancements, position the 2026 suite as a hybrid ecosystem that balances rapid AI-driven ideation with the rigorous demands of professional graphic design.
