The latest intellectual property additions cover critical safety innovations in Europe, the United States, and Guyana. These patents protect proprietary methods for personnel safety sensing, proximity detection, and unauthorized worker location tracking. The growth brings Salunda’s total global patent count to 140, spanning fingerboard latch monitoring, sensor technologies, and industrial wireless networking.
Salunda’s primary safety platform, HaloGuard, utilizes AI-powered 3D ranging cameras to monitor hazardous zones where crews operate near heavy machinery. The system integrates directly with rig equipment to trigger automated alerts or pause operations when personnel enter restricted areas. According to CEO Alan Finlay, this rapid expansion of protected technology allows the company to compete alongside large global equipment manufacturers while deploying systems across more than 100 assets worldwide.
