The microphone connects via USB-C and functions alongside the dedicated Spatial Audio Video Tool app, allowing users to record, edit, and export content without requiring external production hardware. It provides three primary capture modes: Ambisonics for immersive Eclipsa Audio production, binaural recording for headphone-optimized experiences, and standard stereo for daily social content.
Developed in collaboration with Sony PCL, the hardware is tuned to preserve depth and frequency response in diverse environments, ranging from street performances to ambient outdoor settings. The ECM-AX10 is currently available for pre-sale at an MSRP of $249.99 USD, with compatibility requiring Android 14 or iOS 18 devices equipped with a USB-C port.
