Tesla Supplier Simwon America Eyes Nasdaq Listing

With 99.5% of its revenue tied to a single client, Lathrop-based auto parts manufacturer Simwon America has filed for an initial public offering. The company plans to trade on the Nasdaq Global Market under the ticker SWA, aiming to sell 1.5 million shares at a price between $18 and $22.

Tesla Supplier Simwon America Eyes Nasdaq Listing

The California-based firm, which specializes in "Body-in-White" components, operates two massive facilities in Lathrop totaling over 475,000 square feet. Its parent entities, MS Autotech and Myoung Shin Industry, maintain operations in South Korea. Despite its established footprint, the company faces a precarious financial landscape, as its heavy reliance on Tesla leaves it vulnerable to shifts in electric vehicle demand.

Recent filings reveal the impact of a cooling market, with revenue for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, dropping 13% to $323.9 million. To counter this stagnation, management intends to use proceeds from the share offering to acquire an East Coast firm and fund expansion projects reaching into Mexico and Canada. Current shareholders are expected to offer an additional 1 million shares as part of the market debut.
