Commissioner Merle Heatwole confirmed that national teams are coordinating with local agencies to ensure rapid deployment of critical supplies. The organization has prioritized the staging of canteen units in Pensacola, Fort Walton Beach, Panama City, and Mobile. These teams are supported by a logistics network involving partners like Send Relief, Midwest Food Bank, and Walmart to distribute hygiene kits, water, and pre-packaged meals to displaced families.

Beyond immediate nourishment, the organization is focusing on long-term recovery efforts. Jeff Jellets, director of the Southern Territory’s Emergency Disaster Services, noted that the teams provide emotional and spiritual care alongside physical aid. While the storm’s center is focused on the coast, the organization remains prepared to pivot as heavy rains, winds, and potential tornadoes threaten inland communities across the Southeast.
