RingConn Smart Ring Cleared by FDA for Blood Oxygen Monitoring

Shenzhen-based Ninenovo Technology has secured FDA 510(k) clearance for its RingConn smart ring, authorizing the device for non-invasive blood oxygen saturation tracking. This regulatory approval, designated under number K260490, validates the wearable’s technical equivalence to existing predicate devices currently marketed for clinical health monitoring in the United States.

The clearance signals a strategic shift for the company as it scales its footprint in the American healthcare and wellness sectors. By utilizing proprietary PPG sensor technology, the device enables continuous SpO2 monitoring, a vital metric for assessing respiratory and circulatory health. The company emphasizes that this integration of medical-grade data collection into a compact ring form factor is supported by ongoing clinical research aimed at further validating its monitoring accuracy.

Since its founding in 2021, RingConn has aggressively pursued international regulatory compliance, including CE, FCC, MIC, UKCA, and RCM certifications. With the product already available in over 190 countries, this latest FDA milestone bolsters the brand's position as it transitions from a general consumer wearable to a recognized player in the regulated health-monitoring market.
