The two acquired locations in San Diego and El Cajon will continue to offer gastrointestinal care under the AMSURG umbrella. Senior Vice President of Corporate Development Adam Tripp noted that the companies had already begun coordinating on physician recruitment efforts before the deal closed to ensure the centers could manage increased patient demand.
With this expansion, AMSURG now operates more than 250 surgery centers nationwide. Both California sites remain fully operational and are currently accepting new patients. Patients looking to schedule appointments or review physician credentials can access information through the center's established web portal.
