Starting October 21, 2026, the twice-monthly series targets national security professionals, academics, and business leaders seeking a framework beyond the daily news cycle. According to Mackinder Forum president Leonard Hochberg, the initiative focuses on how current military outcomes dictate the trajectory of future negotiations, domestic politics, and shifting alliances.
Gordon Chang will inaugurate the series with an examination of China’s regional objectives regarding Taiwan and the Pacific Ocean. Subsequent sessions are slated to address the ongoing war in Ukraine, volatility in the Middle East, and the strengthening of NATO’s eastern flank. The forum, which has spent 25 years applying classic geopolitical thought to modern commercial and strategic landscapes, offers these sessions free of charge to registered participants.
