The October 14 event served as both a philanthropic milestone and a commercial showcase. Attendees received an exclusive look at the Rare DNM Edit, a holiday collection scheduled for a broader October 29 release. Pacsun executives, including CEO Brieane Olson, joined Selena Gomez to highlight the integration of fashion and social advocacy. The partnership aims to normalize mental health discourse among Gen Z, a demographic that cited mental wellbeing as a top life priority in the company’s 2026 Youth Report.
Beyond the runway, the gala recognized community impact through the inaugural Katherine Short Legacy Award, presented to the La Familia Counseling Center for five decades of service. The evening’s efforts contributed to the Rare Impact Fund’s broader goal of mobilizing $100 million for global mental health resources. Moving forward, Pacsun will continue its financial commitment, pledging to donate 10% of sales from the new denim line—up to $300,000—to support the fund’s mission of expanding access to care for young people.
