Tesla Cuts Cybertruck Entry Price to $59,990 in Lineup Shakeup

Tesla introduced a more affordable version of its Cybertruck electric pickup on Thursday, pricing a new dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant at $59,990. The strategic pivot lowers the entry cost for the stainless-steel truck by roughly $20,000, signaling a shift toward broader market accessibility as the automaker ramps up production.

The new entry-level model sits significantly below the previous base price for the all-wheel-drive configuration. According to listings on Tesla’s official website, this variant provides a more budget-conscious alternative to the existing premium options while maintaining the core dual-motor architecture that defines the mid-range of the series.

Restructuring the High-End Tier

In tandem with the new release, Tesla reduced the price of its flagship performance model, the Cyberbeast. The top-tier variant now starts at $99,990, down from its previous sticker price of $114,990. This $15,000 reduction repositions the truck just below the six-figure threshold that often serves as a psychological barrier for luxury vehicle buyers.

However, the price cut for the Cyberbeast coincides with the removal of the Luxe Package. Launched in August during a previous price hike, this bundle is no longer available for new orders. The package previously integrated several high-value incentives into the total purchase price:

    • Supervised Full Self-Driving (FSD) capability
    • Four-year wheel and tire protection
    • Complimentary access to the Supercharger network
These adjustments suggest Tesla is prioritizing volume and lower starting prices over bundled software and service perks. By decoupling these features, the automaker can offer a more competitive base price while potentially driving high-margin revenue through post-purchase software upgrades and subscription services.
