GiG Works Profits Plummet to 9 Million Yen in First Half

A sharp contraction in profitability defined the first half of the fiscal year for GiG Works Inc., as the Japanese firm reported a net profit of just 9 million yen for the period ending April 30. This performance marks a significant decline from the 111 million yen recorded during the same interval last year.

GiG Works Profits Plummet to 9 Million Yen in First Half

Despite a modest uptick in top-line growth, with revenue rising to 11.45 billion yen from 11.06 billion yen, internal margins faced heavy pressure. The company swung to an operating profit of 290 million yen, contrasting with a loss of 370 million yen in the prior year, yet bottom-line results were hampered by broader financial headwinds. Pretax profit fell to 88 million yen, down from 475 million yen in 2025. Diluted earnings per share were not applicable for the current term, while basic earnings per share dropped to 0.46 yen from 5.64 yen previously. These results, prepared under Japanese accounting standards, reflect a challenging environment for the Tokyo-listed entity as it navigates shifting operational costs.
