Knag arrives with a background that spans military-grade electronic warfare and commercial drone defense. Prior to this role, he led product and engineering teams at Dedrone, which was acquired by Axon. His technical foundation includes a tenure at BAE Systems, where he oversaw developments in phased array systems and electronic warfare, alongside early career work on counter-drone applications for the U.S. Air Force and the Department of Energy.
MatrixSpace CEO Greg Waters noted that Knag’s dual experience as an innovator and an end-user of public safety drone systems is critical for the company’s next phase of growth. Knag, who holds multiple patents in sensor technology and aeronautical engineering, will focus on scaling the company’s portable radar platforms and integrating their AI-driven intelligence into broader industry ecosystems.
