Pomeroy arrives at the Colorado-based firm after a tenure as senior director of Government Relations for Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector. Her career includes influential roles at Ball Aerospace, DigitalGlobe, and Harris Corporation, positioning her to navigate the complex intersection of federal funding and defense-tech innovation. CEO Dan Jablonsky noted that the company requires more than hardware to succeed, emphasizing the need for a leader capable of actively shaping policy frameworks rather than merely reacting to them.

In her new capacity, Pomeroy will oversee engagement across the intelligence community and government agencies, focusing on securing programmatic support for the company’s portfolio of satellites, reusable spaceplanes, and hypersonic technologies. She described the move as a chance to contribute to a sector currently undergoing rapid strategic evolution, noting that her focus remains on missions with high national security stakes. Sierra Space continues to position itself as a critical player in orbital defense, aiming to cement its influence in Washington as the commercial space race accelerates.
