The inaugural release, Experimental Series No. 001, features a six-year-old OBSK bourbon finished in rare Japanese Mizunara oak. Master Distiller Brent Elliott opted for the OBSK mashbill specifically for its structural ability to harmonize with the wood’s intense, layered spice profile. The development process required weekly sampling to ensure the finishing period did not overpower the foundational spirit, a process Elliott describes as a calculated evolution of the distillery’s core craftsmanship.

Beyond the liquid, the packaging serves as a tactile tribute to the brand’s Lawrenceburg roots, with label designs mimicking the distillery’s Spanish Mission-style architecture. This initial release is bottled in 375ml formats and will be sold exclusively at the Four Roses Visitor Center starting July 30 for $55. While the brand maintains its commitment to its historic 1888 foundations, this series signals a deliberate shift toward modern, boundary-pushing experimentation.
