Designers were tasked with reimagining curtains through three distinct lenses: as a canvas for graphic storytelling, as architectural elements that define spatial rhythm, or as emotional conduits that manipulate light and mood. This shift away from traditional home decor toward conceptual expression has drawn a diverse international cohort of 825 participants.
Public voting remains open until June 30, serving as a critical gauge for the final selection. A panel of industry experts—including designer Jennifer Farrell, former Elle Decor executive editor Ingrid Abramovitch, and surface pattern artist Bonnie Christine—will evaluate the finalists. Beyond the $10,000 prize pool, the competition offers a tangible path to market, as winning concepts may be selected for commercial production and global release. Founder Ray Chen noted that the initiative functions as a bridge between the brand’s lifestyle identity and the broader creative community, with the final three winners scheduled to be announced in September 2026.
