Scott arrives at the Sandy, Utah-based foundation following his work at Meetinghouse Consulting, where he specialized in blended finance mechanisms designed to attract impact investors to underserved markets. His background includes directing sustainable ecosystem programs in Bogota, Colombia, and overseeing multi-country portfolios across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. This experience in forging public-private partnerships is expected to play a central role in his new mandate to deepen the foundation’s community impact.

Sunwest Bank CEO Eric Hovde noted that Scott’s leadership will be instrumental in scaling the organization’s efforts to support vulnerable children and families. Scott, who holds a Master’s degree from Brandeis University, plans to integrate his background in economic development with the bank’s existing philanthropic framework to strengthen regional partnerships. The foundation operates under the umbrella of Sunwest Bank, a commercial institution with over $4 billion in assets and a presence spanning six states.
