Sweet James Attorneys Backs Breast Cancer Angels at Irvine Fundraiser

Under the rafters of The Barn at Strawberry Farms Golf Course, the local community gathered Saturday for the Saddle Up for a Cause fundraiser. The event, which featured line dancing and silent auctions, brought together supporters to bolster Breast Cancer Angels, a nonprofit providing direct financial relief to patients during treatment.

Sweet James Accident Attorneys joined the western-themed evening to highlight the organization's work in Orange County, the South Bay, San Diego, Los Angeles, and the Inland Empire. Breast Cancer Angels operates as a 501(c)(3) entity, focusing on immediate, tangible needs such as housing assistance, transportation, food, and utility payments for families facing the financial strain of a breast cancer diagnosis.

The night shifted from festivities to focus when several patients shared personal accounts of the organization’s intervention during their treatment. Bobby Taghavi, a trial attorney at Sweet James, noted that hearing these stories reinforced the necessity of the firm’s partnership. According to Taghavi, ensuring families can cover basic expenses like rent or groceries during chemotherapy creates an impact that extends far beyond a typical corporate donation. The firm, led by founding partner Steve Mehr, maintains a history of local outreach alongside its national personal injury practice.
