Netgain Unveils AI-Native Consolidation Engine at Denver Summit

More than 200 accounting professionals gathered in Denver on June 18 for Netgain’s Second Annual Accounting Summit, where the firm previewed an AI-native consolidation engine. The platform aims to move complex financial workflows off spreadsheets, signaling a shift in how firms handle non-controlling interests and multi-entity hierarchies.

Netgain, which has spent eight years developing automated tools for the profession, is positioning this new engine as a solution to one of the industry's most persistent bottlenecks: the monthly close. By automating the manual data processing required for complex ownership structures, the company intends to allow accountants to focus on financial judgment rather than data reconciliation. CEO Adam Riches noted that the integration of AI is not merely about speed, but about reallocating human effort toward higher-level analysis.

Product Strategy SVP Chis Miller emphasized that the engine is built specifically to address the limitations of traditional spreadsheet-based modeling. The company has opened a beta cohort for accounting leaders interested in refining the tool during its development phase. Beyond the technical preview, the summit functioned as a tactical working session, featuring peer-led discussions on overcoming AP bottlenecks and scaling through acquisitions. The event concluded with a focus on resilience, drawing parallels between athletic performance and the current professional push to modernize accounting infrastructure.
