Starting June 25, the competition shifts its traditional base from Lamia to Loutraki, covering 323 kilometers across 17 grueling special stages. The primary challenge for drivers remains the rapid degradation of road surfaces; the second pass of each stage frequently reveals deep ruts and jagged rocks that test the limits of mechanical durability.
Hankook, serving as the exclusive tire supplier for all WRC classes, is deploying its Dynapro R213 all-terrain tire to combat these conditions. The manufacturer has provided both hard and soft compounds to allow teams to navigate the shifting gravel and high-load impacts inherent to the Greek terrain. This deployment follows the recent success of Toyota GAZOO Racing in Japan, where Elfyn Evans extended his championship lead, setting the stage for a high-stakes battle in the Mediterranean heat.
