NorthVault AI Opens Ontario Data Campus with Immediate 4 MW Capacity

With four megawatts of grid power ready for immediate deployment, NorthVault AI has launched a new data center campus in Ontario. The site aims to bypass the lengthy utility queues currently stalling AI infrastructure projects, promising a total capacity of 43.75 megawatts by the third quarter of 2027.

The project, independently validated by the Computer Room Services Corporation, is engineered specifically for high-density GPU clusters and direct-to-chip liquid cooling. By utilizing a closed-loop design, the facility operates without water consumption, relying on Ontario’s low-carbon grid to meet environmental and governance mandates. Beyond the initial power allocation, the campus maintains a development path toward 120 megawatts to accommodate long-term scaling needs.

Connectivity remains a central pillar of the infrastructure, featuring three distinct carriers linked via dark fiber to Toronto and Chicago. This network architecture is designed to support high-intensity AI training and inference tasks. NorthVault AI President Chris Tsiropoulos noted that the site addresses the dual bottlenecks of power and connectivity, allowing operators to bypass typical 12-to-18-month wait times for utility interconnection. The company is currently accepting reservations for the active capacity while finalizing strategic partnerships for the remainder of the build-out.
