World Gym Targets Thailand Expansion with Second Bangkok Lease

One thousand members signed up at the brand’s first Thai location in just two weeks, signaling a surge in demand that has now pushed World Gym to secure its second site. The operator plans to open 30 fitness centers across the kingdom within the next five years.

The new facility will occupy more than 3,000 square meters at S-OASIS, a major commercial development managed by Singha Estate. Slated to open in the first quarter of 2027, the club aims to anchor the fitness needs of corporate tenants and urban residents in the surrounding district. This lease marks a strategic pivot for the Taiwan-listed operator, which is prioritizing partnerships with established real estate developers to secure high-traffic, mixed-use locations.

John Caraccio, President of World Gym Corporation, identified Thailand as the company’s primary beachhead for growth throughout Southeast Asia. Beyond standard gym operations, the brand intends to introduce its HYROX training programs to the Thai market later this year. This expansion builds on the company's 2024 acquisition of World Gym International, which consolidated its global intellectual property and operating rights under its current management platform.
