Jodell Robotics Targets Factory Automation with New Embodied Tech

Backed by a strategic investment from Midea Group, Suzhou-based Jodell Robotics debuted its full-stack embodied execution portfolio at the China International Industry Fair. The launch centers on the Mozart biomimetic hand, a system designed to bridge the gap between artificial intelligence and high-precision physical manufacturing tasks.

The Mozart dexterous hand features a distributed tactile sensing architecture, utilizing proprietary drive algorithms to manage contact force and spatial position. By integrating high-precision sensors directly into each digit, the device enables delicate grasping tasks essential for sectors like semiconductor fabrication, lithium battery assembly, and 3C electronics. This hardware aims to solve the recurring bottleneck of flexible material handling on automated lines.

Jodell’s technical foundation draws on nearly three decades of aerospace engineering, including work on China’s inaugural space robot. The company is currently scaling production in Suzhou, supported by a collaboration with Professor Gerald E. Loeb to refine visuo-tactile sensors capable of detecting vibration, temperature, and force. These components are shielded against industrial electromagnetic interference, a critical requirement for factory-floor deployment.

Beyond individual grippers, the firm is assembling a comprehensive ecosystem described as a hand-eye-brain-data framework. By providing standardized modular units, Jodell intends to translate experimental intelligence into measurable productivity. With 17 product series already in circulation and an annual capacity surpassing 100,000 units, the company is positioning its hardware as the standard execution layer for global humanoid and industrial robot developers.
