Allegiant Expands Boeing Fleet with $720 Million Order

A fresh injection of capital is heading to Boeing as Allegiant Travel commits to six additional 737-8 aircraft. The deal, valued at over $720 million, exercises existing options from a 2021 agreement and marks a continued push by the budget carrier to modernize its fleet ahead of 2028.

Allegiant Expands Boeing Fleet with $720 Million Order

The purchase agreement stipulates that delivery of these six jets will commence in 2028. While the headline figure sits at $720 million, the final cost remains fluid, subject to standard industry discounts and price escalations tied to the specific delivery windows.

This latest acquisition brings Allegiant’s firm order book to 56 aircraft, with 22 of those planes already integrated into the airline’s operations. The underlying 2021 contract remains a significant pipeline for growth, as the carrier still holds 74 remaining options to purchase additional Boeing hardware.
