The agreement follows persistent Houthi attacks on Saudi energy facilities, which have forced state giant Saudi Aramco to seek creative logistical solutions. Current disruptions have already compelled the company to rely on ship-to-ship transfers in the Gulf of Oman and reroute tankers through the Suez Canal to maintain export flows.

Singaporean Energy Minister Tan See Leng emphasized that the arrangement bolsters his nation's energy security while reinforcing the resilience of the broader regional supply chain against further geopolitical shocks.
