The bank’s total revenue climbed 9.45% to 13.76 billion euros, outpacing the 13.50 billion euros anticipated by experts. Growth was anchored by the corporate and institutional banking division, which surged 17%. Within that segment, global markets recorded a 22% increase, though fixed-income results remained largely flat. Chief Executive Officer Jean-Laurent Bonnafe attributed the results to the operating strength across all three major business divisions.
While the CET1 ratio, a core metric for capital strength, dipped to 12.9% from 13.0% in the previous quarter, management remains confident in the bank’s capital trajectory. The bank reaffirmed its long-term financial guidance, anticipating annual net profit growth of more than 10% from 2025 through 2028.
